As men, we all want to live life to the full, grab every opportunity, make a difference, leave a lasting and worthwhile legacy. But somehow things don’t always go as planned…
Our world is ruled by the realities of lust, greed and pride – just scan any tabloid headline. Out there it’s a heady cocktail of temptation and distorted definitions of success, all too often draining hope and choking life.
Life Matters is a series of standalone events arranged by the Willingham Baptist Church for all local men seeking something more out of life. Through a series of enjoyable and stimulating social events, quizzes and days hiking, we hope to fire your enthusiasm, build friendships and spark some thought-provoking conversations.
Last year we had a day hiking in the Peak District, curry night at the Royal Bengal in Church Street and a Whisky Tasting evening just before Christmas with nearly 30 local men experiencing a range of single malts and friendly chat. This year we kick off with a Sports Quiz on 1st March with several other events in the pipeline…watch this space for the details!
